We heard many good things about PE but found the food in general to be poor and the service worse. How refreshing to find a wee sanctuary of peace and fine food near our house in Walmer. Our family would retreat there after a hard day and be met by a large kindly man in shorts! My kids were made welcome and we felt enchanted by the family feel of the place. Our names were always remembered, as was my choice of whisky and you really felt you were in safe hands with big Joel, who was an absolute gentleman. Rest in Peace Bigman.
